Expected pay for this position is $52.66 - $69.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Director Mission Services Region is responsible for directing OSF's internal Mission program, extending it to the units within the organization by development of competencies of leaders, and extending the spirit of the Mission outward to the communities in which the Medical Center serves. The three main areas of focus for Mission are formation, fidelity, and integration and experience, which regional directors connect to and serve. Responsible for implementing Mission Integration curriculum, programs, resources and leader consultation that support our services and Mission Partners. Supports Mission Services initiatives and standard work that promotes the Mission, Vision and Values of OSF HealthCare and the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. The goals of Mission Services are that staff understand, support, and share in the Mission of OSF HealthCare and develop a positive affinity with OSF, expressed in their daily interactions with each other and with those who rely on OSF. Assists and works with leaders in integrating the OSF Mission, Vision and Values in decisions and practices including planning, policies, patient experience, pastoral care, organizational development and community health. Serves identified region, with standard work across the Ministry. Supports regional and system Mission formation and fidelity work.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in health-related field, education, theology, theological ethics, or related field with an expectation that they will receive a Master's degree in theology, Mission leadership, or ethics within five years of starting the role.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience, with progressive responsibility, in managing a healthcare or related department and its staff, including planning, budget, and staff review roles.
- 3 years of experience in healthcare.
Other:
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software; Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- A Catholic, who accepts and supports the moral teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Possesses competency and respectfulness regarding the needs of others relative to cultures, traditions, and religious beliefs and practices.
- Excellent teaching, communication and mediation skills, both in personal interaction and group settings, to facilitate the OSF Mission, Vision and Values in everyday clinical settings, relationships and practices.
- Engages personal interactions with openness and compassion appropriate in the Catholic healthcare ministry. Relates respectfully and well with persons.
- Maintains confidentiality and trust necessary for professional interaction Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply, as well as competently teach, the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services as well as other key source texts relative to the Catholic Healthcare Ministry.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with our Sisters of the Third Order, religious, clergy and Diocesan leadership.
