32 hours week
First and second shift week day rotation; working every other weekend and holiday
Expected pay for this position is $18.43 - $21.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists pharmacists in ensuring medications are promptly, accurately and safely dispensed, delivered, charged and credited. Prepares and labels medications to match orders. Maintains records related to drug use and charges. This position requires the Technician to be proficient in both dispensing oral medications and in preparation of I.V. solutions. Duties may vary by assigned area or shift. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma for GED, At least 18 years of age
Experience: N/A
Licensure/ Certification: Pharmacy Technician in Illinois or Michigan (dependent on location of employment).
PHTC-Pharmacy Tech, PHCT2 - Pharmacy Tech Certification, Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification, or Active Pharmacy student with Pharmacy Technician (PHTC) student license
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations. Intermediate computer skills.
