Travel required for Epic training to Epic HQ in Verona, WI. Other travel may be required within region position is located in.

Remote Work option - This person will work their first 90 days in the office. If there is completion of successful 90 day evaluation, this person will have the opportunity to work 8 days per month in the office and the rest from home.

Focus is for Integration Application Architecture

Salary range for this position is between $61,069-$71,843; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Application System Analyst l, will evaluate, plan, design, and configure software application systems. This position assists with analyzing, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining installed systems and support users. The position creates documentation to support system design, testing and training. The position will also assist with the management of customer expectations and customer interactions and participate in service quality initiatives.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Assists in development of detailed specifications, application configuration and documentation. Implements noncomplex application configuration.
  • Facilitates documentation of business needs appropriately. Can utilize conflict management skills and has knowledge of administrative applications.
  • Assists Level II and III analysts with requirements gathering, scoping, obtaining buy-in from other departments/business units, planning and implementing solutions.
  • Communicates with business partners in a non-technical way so that business requirements can be understood from both the technical and non-technical perspective.
  • Utilizes knowledge of information technology infrastructure to perform basic application enhancements, support and implementations.
  • Understands HL7, X12 message structure and/or other data exchange methods as it pertains to supported applications.
  • Assists in monitoring the supportability, performance and availability of applications.
  • Performs defined application maintenance. Assists with defining metrics and analyzes application performance.
  • Assists in investigations into data/application irregularities and helps to identify and resolve potential system problems.
  • Assists in development of training plans, testing scripts and application testing. Helps to document the testing results.
  • Uses software platforms that support OSF IT and IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Assists with creating and maintaining the application knowledge base ensuring the teams' source build and configuration documentation, manuals and procedures are always up to date and stored in a central location.
  • Engages in efforts to document and investigate simple incidents or incidents across multiple service dependencies, resolve them by using analytical practices.
  • Solves simple issues independently.
  • Assists with the investigation into problems in their area of expertise by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes such as but not limited to root cause analysis and develop plans and recommendations for improvements.
  • Develops and manages vendor business relationships as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associates Degree or 2 years in information technology or healthcare

Other Licenses/Certifications: Epic certifications are required for role must be obtained within a 6 month timeframe from date of hire and limited to 3 test attempts per certification.

Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Completion of a Bachelors Degree with concentration in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare or other closely related field.

Experience: Previous work related experience in healthcare industry. Experience with key OSF applications
