Starting pay for this position is $17.60/hour.
POSITION SUMMARY:
An EEG Technician works collectively with the Medical Director, Manager, staff, and patients to achieve optimal EEG testing. An EEG technician develops competency in and performs the basics of electroencephalography procedures and associated interventions under the direct supervision of an EEG Technologist.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Commitment Expectations:
- Technician must enroll in accredited Electro neuro diagnostic program or approved CAAHEP program within one year of date of hire. Technician then has 24 months post enrollment to complete Electro neuro diagnostic program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
License/Certification:
- Current enrollment or completion of an accredited Electro neuro-diagnostic Program
- Active CPR certification through the American Heart Association
Experience:
- 6 months of direct patient care or current enrollment in an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree in allied health field
Skills:
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the age of the patients served. This requires the incumbent demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.
- Analytical skills necessary to collect and analyze quantitative data and conduct diagnostic procedures
