Prompt Care
- Perform patient assessment and assign diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research.
- Establish plan of care and implement interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, standards of care and current research.
- Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Preform minor procedures and occasionally suturing independently
- Provide education and counseling to patients, families and groups.
Orthopedic Surgery
- Work with an experienced adult trauma surgeon.
- Provide follow-up consultations as well as preform injections.
- Be involved in specialties including but, not limited to: elbow, hand/wrist, shoulder, joint replacement, hip/pelvis, knee, orthopedic trauma and sports medicine.
- Make care decisions independently

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
- Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in orthopedics, urgent care, or a related field is preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served
