Summary:
Operations Analyst creates reporting, conducts analysis, and develops supporting documentation. Operations Analyst provides solutions and analysis for Channel Managers by performing a variety of tasks and projects as required by management to support driving quality sales. In addition, they research customer account data, missing sales, process vendor payments, and look for process improvements.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building sales reports
- Maintain daily Excel dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
- Work vendor requests including missing sales, payment disputes, hold requests, and other requests
- Analyze customer accounts, spreadsheets and databases to identify trends and flow opportunities
- Validate data obtained from various sources to confirm report data and information meets business needs and is accurate
- Assists in the implementation of sales reporting requests
- Leads special projects or process improvements assigned by management
- Independently run scheduled reports and data uploads to meet deadlines for internal and external stakeholders
- Ask the “why’s”, takes ownership of issues and will search to find the root cause to help avoid issues downstream
- Assist in the development of documentation for new processes or systems
- Development of Standard Work documents in coordination with Manager
- Review issue tracker identifying trends for training opportunities
- Manage small projects and miscellaneous tasks assigned by management
- Attend trainings on new technology to support the business
- Create and maintain PO adhering to budget amounts and coding
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Experience:
1 to 3 years’ experience proving detailed reporting and analysis to support staff members in a problem solving, research or sales capacity using Microsoft Office Excel. Knowledge of the deregulated utility industry is a plus
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in macros or VBA coding
- Advanced Excel skills to independently create and analyze spreadsheets
- Ability to perform data comparisons utilizing VLOOKUP functionality and pivot tables
- Analytical ability necessary to review formulas and explain data
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills required including excellent listening skills
- Courteous, patient, energetic and an enthusiastic personality with professional demeanor
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and remain composed under pressure
- Canada deregulated energy market knowledge is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Majority of work performed on a personal computer in a seated position
- Availability to be on camera on virtual meetings
- Ability to use phone handset (headset optional)
Working Conditions:
- Remote work location and some office environment
- Overtime hours required as needed to deliver or launch projects
