NRG’s Renewable Advisory Group is looking for a motivated data Analyst to assist the team in analytics and RFP management in relation to community solar and utility-scale renewables.
NRG’s Renewable Advisory Group has a start-up like culture that requires innovation and agility from all of its team members. This position is for an individual who is highly analytical and passionate about renewables. You’ll be responsible for building financial models to support renewable procurement decisions and presenting analytical findings in a clear and concise manner. Candidates will get an opportunity to be creative in building dashboards using visualization tools to maximize our offerings and support to customers. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for assisting the team in sourcing new developer partners, RFP management, and project due diligence.
You will have an opportunity to work directly with all team members and learn about every aspect of the business. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical proficiency (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint), strong communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, and high levels of organization.
Candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and exciting work environment will do well in this role as time management and the ability to meet short deadlines is critical to success.
Responsibilities:
- Create and enhance sophisticated financial models and be able to present them to less sophisticated audiences
- Summarize deep dive research into various topics and craft detailed presentations on these topics to team
- Conduct market research and analyses for strategic planning purposes
- Manage administrative processes such as project database management and customer reporting
Minimum Requirements and Skills:
- A record of academic and professional achievement, well developed communication skills, the ability to collaborate well with a small team, proven organizational acumen working on multiple projects, and a high level of motivation are vital in this role
- Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to continuously prioritize effectively
- 1-4 years of experience working in energy, renewables, or finance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with U.S. power
- Experience in renewable energy development
- Project management

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $110,600. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
