We are seeking engineer to join our team who will work along our Clarus Research team. You will be learning how to use circular knitting equipment, plan weaving trials and flatbed knits and create novel fabric constructions. In addition to fabric creation, you will get an opportunity to characterize the performance attributes of the created fabrics in direct support of customer-directed targets. The ideal candidate will have textile experience or be a recent graduate in a relevant textile program.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Clarus R&D team to run and troubleshoot fabric R&D projects
- Be the SME for Weaving, Flatbed and Circular knitting
- Conduct lab testing on the fabrics
- Design experiments to optimize fabric performance
- Document findings and provide conclusions & recommendations
- Education: Required - Have an advanced degree in Textile Engineering or related field
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Works well with others

Work Environment
- Primarily operates in office and manufacturing environments
- Some of the work is performed in a shop environment where it may be loud, dusty, hot or cold
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
- Regularly required to use personal protective equipment
- Travel of up to 20% may be required
