SUMMARY
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Selects products for evaluation at specified stages in production process, and inspects products for qualities such as dimensions, cleanliness, paint quality, and appearance.
- Records data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Prepares graphs, charts of data, or enters data into computer for analysis, on topics such as Part Production Approval Process (PPAPS), Control Plans, Gage Repeatability, and Process Capability Studies
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or similar field is preferred
- Must have 2+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry
- Experience with a manufacturing ERP software. Syteline ERP is a plus.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
High level of proficiency using spreadsheet applications such as Excel, including the use of pivot
