Position Summary:
The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security measures. They will also be expected to manage the Active Directory Forest, while improving its configuration and implementation. The successful candidate will work closely with IT team members and other departments to support the company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Support:
- Provide prompt and effective technical support to end-users across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Troubleshoot network and active directory issues, resolve technical problems, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and support services.
- Network Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure across all sites.
- Ensure network reliability, scalability, and performance while optimizing costs.
- Implement network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure.
- Plan and execute network upgrades and designs.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Conduct regular network performance tests and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to maintain network hardware and software.
- Active Directory
- Maintain Active Directory Forest
- Configure and Manage LDAP policies
- Troubleshoot authentication issues
- Continuously improving existing Active Directory architecture
- Identifying and resolving issues related to DNS services and resolution
- Maintain Entra ID and local domain controller synchronization
- Manage and oversee integrations and configurations of business systems
- Ensure user access and permissions are properly maintained
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement network security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed network documentation, including configuration, diagrams, and policies.
- Generate reports on network performance, security incidents, and other relevant metrics.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of network services.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explain network issues and solutions

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and technologies (e.g., Cisco switches, Barracuda Firewalls).
- Strong experience with network security practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud networking.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
