This position is primarily responsible for processing incoming payments and ensuring the payments are posted to the appropriate customer accounts in a timely manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Code and post deposits daily from one of the following sources: lockbox, wired funds, credit card payments, or mailed in payments.
• Perform weekly adjustments to the customer’s Accounts Receivable accounts that will write off unpaid service charges, tax or freight not paid.
• Work with the regional collection team to review and research customer account and payment questions.
• Keep customer exemption certificates up to date.
• Set up new accounts as needed.
• Run credit reports on potential new accounts to determine credit ability.
• Perform credit reviews on existing customers.
• Release documents on credit hold.
• Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Proficient computer skills or the aptitude and willingness to learn how to use a computer and software.
• Knowledge with or aptitude to use Microsoft Excel.
• Accounting knowledge or aptitude.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Punctuality and dependability.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to multi-task and remain flexible.
• Personable.
• Meet the physical requirements of the job.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Hours will be 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Pay: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour
