The major function of this position is:
Evaluate, plan, and work strategically to manage the combination of activities involved to market and sell Maui Jim and Zeal products to meet West Region corporate gift sales plan. Manage all West Region based accounts associated with incentive, group, and reward/recognition sales and build relationships to prospect new opportunities, support long-term partnerships and maximize revenue opportunities.
Compensation: Salary: 75k - 95k; Commission
Territory: Arizona, California, and Nevada
The essential responsibilities and duties of this position are:
Manage relationships to increase sales for Corporate Gifts; cultivate new accounts and manage existing accounts, while working special events.
Grow premium/incentive sales by exposing MJ product to those who have in-house incentive programs, third-party service providers, and to Incentive Catalog producers.
Develop strong relationships and work with independent premium incentive sales teams to foster premium business in the West US Market.
Select clients for marketing and business development activations that present the greatest sales potential and lead strategy to engage and convert.
Develop leads by networking, cold-calling and attending premium incentive trade shows/Fams. Prompt and effective lead follow up, proposal generation, and event information turn-over.
Project a professional image to all classes of accounts while enforcing services and policies.
Work with each account constantly to ensure that we maximize our potential with each division of that company, their partners, and clients.
Collaborate with Strategic Partners and their sales teams to make presentations to new and existing accounts – target overlapping markets and opportunities and work collaboratively with Maui Jim CG teammates to expand business across regions.
Attend Industry- related events/tradeshows/FAMS. This involves setting up & tearing down, inventory management and co-coordinating the booth and all promotional items and engaging with attendees/clients to explore and develop future business opportunities.
Creatively engage with the industry to network and build relationships to generate future sales leads for Maui Jim Corporate Gifts.
Work with internal Maui Jim team to support policies and procedures and optimize and enhance sales and marketing activations.
Perform other duties as requested or required.
Desired qualifications:
As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of sales experience in the Incentive/hotel/cruise market.
Strong knowledge of the premium/incentive industry and event experience.
Currently working in the West US Market and has experience with the business environment, customers, and corporate culture in this area.
