The major function of this position is:

Process inbound sort, ship parcels, and support all shipping and mailing activities. Provide excellent customer service.

Hourly Range: $18/ hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM

The principle responsibilities and duties of this position are:

• Process domestic and international outbound parcels utilizing a variety of shipping software and methods.

• Retrieve and/or process all inbound small parcel shipments from a variety of carriers utilizing our sorting methodology

• Deliver and pick up all letter mail.

• Process outbound mail utilizing our postage application systems.

• Perform parcel tracing and partner with customer service and our carriers on lost packages.

• Guide and offer advice on solutions for shipping/mailing problems.

• Maintain organized processing area

• Work on special projects and support functions throughout the distribution center.

• Maintain at least minimum production and accuracy standards as set by department.

• Communicate ideas to supervisor and team to ensure department is moving toward goals.

• Communicate job flow to team lead/supervisor and work independently.

• Present flexibility and maturity in working with your team members.

• Perform all other work-related duties as requested or required.

Desired Qualifications:

As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:

High School graduate with 1-2 years warehousing/shipping experience. Customer service experience preferred.

Special Physical Requirements:

• Ability to communicate in a variety of business settings

• Ability to utilize a PC and electronic shipping system

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

• Ability to move at a fast pace

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to operate a hand truck or pallet jack

• Ability to drive the company van

• Valid Drivers License
