The major function of this position is:

As the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager, you will provide dynamic leadership to the logistics team, championing exceptional customer satisfaction and driving operational excellence. You will define team objectives for service, performance, and safety, contribute to long-term distribution center (DC) planning, and support overall business strategy.

Salary: $120k - $135k

The essential responsibilities of this position are:

  • Manage all aspects of the logistics department, including receiving, storage, order processing, and fulfillment, to consistently meet customer demands efficiently. Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks, track progress, and resolve operational challenges.

  • Develop, implement, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team success. Partner with supervisors and data analysts to refine metrics, roles, and expectations, maximizing efficiency and resource utilization

  • Strategically plan and manage labor requirements for the logistics team to ensure timely order processing within established cut-off times and KPI targets. Implement flexible staffing solutions to adapt to fluctuating business volumes and seasonality.

  • Serve as a crucial liaison with Sales and Marketing, collaborating with Demand Planning and Sales Support to enhance order visibility, inventory tracking, and fulfillment speed. Ensure prompt and efficient handling of requests to maximize fill rates and speed to market.

  • Contribute to warehouse space planning initiatives with a focus on optimizing picking efficiency and inventory accuracy. Recommend improvements to layouts, racking systems, and equipment.

  • Oversee inventory management activities, maintaining a 99%+ accuracy rate. Investigate discrepancies, reconcile counts, report findings, and recommend process improvements. Collaborate with leadership and finance on annual cycle count observations and any necessary inventory adjustments.

  • Lead data-driven continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with the Logistics Data Analyst and Project Manager. Identify, prioritize, and define business requirements for impactful process enhancements, incorporating safety and ergonomics. Present ROI-based recommendations to leadership and drive implementation upon approval.

  • Recommend and contribute to enhancements within the SAP system. Collaborate with business partners to define requirements, prioritize development, conduct testing, and implement system improvements. Serve as a point of escalation for system issues, ensuring timely resolution

  • Ensure all operations adhere to OSHA standards. This includes monitoring material handling equipment, maintaining safety in charging stations and dock areas, and overseeing proper material storage and manual handling procedures. Partner with the safety committee and management to develop SOPs and implement safety training to minimize work-related injuries. .

  • Drive team engagement through promotion of corporate activities and logistics initiatives.

  • All other duties as requested or assigned.

Special Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to pick orders off the shelf

  • Ability to move at a fast pace

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to operate an RF scanner

Desired Qualifications:

As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or industrial engineering.

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ leadership experience in a high-volume omnichannel fulfillment environment.

  • Strong understanding of fulfillment metrics related to service, cost, and quality.

  • Experience with complex operational, process, and performance improvement projects (lean or six sigma experience highly valued).

  • CLTD or other APICS certification is a plus.
