The major function of this position is:

To provide exemplary leadership to the outbound logistics teams striving for excellence in customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies. Set the tone and objectives of the team in terms of service, team performance and development. Motivate the team to be their best by challenging and developing them as individuals as well as a team. Provide them with the tools they need to achieve team goals in terms of accuracy and efficiency.

The principle responsibilities and duties of this position are:

  • Manage the daily operations of outbound fulfillment including picking, packing, and shipping across all order types. This also includes oversight of replenishment, cycle counting, returns, international and domestic small parcel shipments and mail distribution.

  • Plan and allocate staffing to ensure efficient product flow across picking, packing, and shipping functions. Foster strong relationships with the team and motivate them to achieve our daily processing goals, adhering to designated vendor specifications and standard operating KPIs.

  • Responsible for supervising, evaluating, developing and performance management of all fulfillment staff. Proactively address issues and communicate regularly with manager and HR on the status.

  • Maintain service and productivity KPI’s with each department. Communicate these expectations to the team, provide feedback and coaching when we miss our service deadlines and KPI targets and celebrate our successes when we achieve them.

  • Manage and account for US01 inventory accuracy with support of Inventory Specialist. Maintain all stocks, bin review, and clean up from pick and put activities, and cycle counting practices.

  • Facilitate real-time root cause problem solving and ensure communication to all internal teams regarding critical issues impacting the department’s performance.

  • Conduct regular department meetings to communicate new developments, encourage employee feedback, coordinate activities, discuss process improvements, and modify procedures.

  • Partner with HR on all recruitment and selection of Outbound Logistics staff. Coordinate and work with Team Leads to provide training for all new employees. Ensure all training materials are compliant, accurately documented and maintained.

  • Maintain all areas/equipment/products in a neat, orderly manner to promote a clean, organized, effectively spaced workplace that people enjoy being in.

  • Assure compliance with company and governmental standards and regulations of safety, sanitation, and housekeeping within the designated area.

  • Understand all Outbound functions in order to provide backup when needed.

  • Perform all other duties as requested or required.

Hours: Monday-Friday 12:30PM-9:00PM

Desired Qualifications:

As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:

Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a distribution environment. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred. Inventory management and consumer product movement expertise preferred.
