The major function of this position is:
Working closely with the Brand Manager HQ team and Commercial NAM team to develop and launch new collections
Essential functions:
Prepare product briefs by gathering and summarizing data on market need, number of models, key features, and pricing, following guidelines provided by the Global Brand Manager and local sales team
Support the direct supervisor and product team throughout the various phases of product development, after the briefing discussion, for the assigned brand (creative alignment, pre-selection, final collection editing, pricing, and ranking)
Conduct market analysis to support the direct supervisor and product design team in researching and proposing new ideas on materials, technologies, and product functionalities.
Prepare presentations and documents for the sales force, clients, and other teams that interface with Brand Management
Prepare and present market analyses and other ad hoc analyses, providing reports to the direct supervisor.
Support the direct supervisor in organizing, coordinating, and planning the brand's marketing activities
Proactively and effectively collaborate in the preparation of annual communication plans for Maui Jim, working closely with the Communications and Trade Marketing teams
Perform other work-related tasks as requested or required.
Desired Qualifications
As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Communications
Previous merchandising, selling or retail experience preferred
Desired Qualifications in lieu of education
Associate’s degree in business or related field (Education is a must for this position, but would take equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
