The overall objective of the department in which this position works is:
To be a high performance, customer service driven department comprised of people of the highest integrity and quality, bound together by clearly defined goals and prideful relationships. We will strive to provide our customers with the best service and quality possible.
The major function of this position is:
Position will provide support to the business in multiple ways with a dedicated focus on financial analysis. The position will provide timely, accurate, and actionable financial reporting information to the Finance team and key decision makers.
The principal responsibilities and duties of this position are:
- Provide timely and accurate standard monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Assist in the annual sales forecast and budget processes.
- Monitor and analyze monthly results against budget and forecasts.
- Perform variance analysis, such as variance from the budget, variance from prior month, variance from prior year, and report significant issues to management.
- Build recurring and ad-hoc reports from the ground up to help measure and analyze business performance.
- Assist in development of new and innovative ways to provide useful, accurate and timely financial information.
- Serve as a resource for global pricing as it relates to: Maintenance of price matrix and reviewing pricing data for accuracy
- Support Finance team with various reconciliations and data requests.
- Complete other special projects and work at the request of management or other personnel.
Desired Qualifications:
As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Fundamental skill set in Microsoft Access
Experience with SAP ERP, SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation), and Oracle HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) is a plus
Listed below are the skills preferred for this position:
Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge; IFRS accounting knowledge a plus
Ability to analyze financial data
Global/International experience a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Quick to adapt and manage priorities
Attention to detail
Ability to efficiently process multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines concurrently
Problem solving skills
Team player able to focus on team needs first
