The overall objective of the department in which this position works is:

To be a high-performance customer driven department. To provide excellent service in the replenishing of stocks, fulfillment of orders, and shipping for all customers. Our goal is to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and quality.

The major function of this position is:

To coordinate freight shipments across the Maui Jim network of distribution centers, suppliers, and customers. Strive for operational excellence and customer satisfaction while promoting a high level of teamwork and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide support for freight programs including scheduling shipments, assisting with filing for imports and exports, and updating relevant shipping log information.

  • Schedule LTL and FTL domestic shipments for key accounts including Sunglass Hut and Costco and partner with the order management and warehouse team for pickups and BOL information.

  • Track, monitor and communicate the status of all freight shipments to appropriate stakeholders. Anticipate potential problems with shipments and proactively work to provide solutions.

  • Partner with the Order Management, Warehouse, and Shipping teams on transportation execution to ensure compliance with agreed upon performance commitments.

  • Provide backup for Parcel Coordinator with coordinating DC return shipments, tracers, and tracking small parcel shipments.

Desired Qualifications

As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:

  • 2 years of administrative experience. College coursework or certification in Logistics and/or Supply Chain preferred.

Skills required to perform job:

  • SAP Knowledge

  • Knowledge of logistics and freight concepts

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Must be flexible and a team player

Special Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to utilize a PC and perform data entry.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
