The major function of this position is:

Work with subject matter experts to design engaging learning programs that enhance retention and transfer. Manage both our internal and account facing LMS systems.

Essential Duties:

  • Design engaging blended learning solutions and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer for both our employees and retail accounts.
  • Oversee compliance training content and launch calendar.
  • Create materials and manage training communication calendar for account facing LMS.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate their expertise into impactful learning experiences.
  • Apply instructional design methods, theories, tools, and best practices to the creation of course materials while leveraging creativity to develop engaging materials.
  • Manage all aspects of the Learning Management Systems (LMS), including loading and assigning training content, managing groups, troubleshooting issues, instructing employees and local administrators on use of system (best practices), monitoring system usage and running applicable reports, monitoring system updates, and driving system engagement.
  • Continuously review and revise existing training materials to evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs. Recommend and implement changes as needed. Determine additional training strategies based on data and observation.
  • Design and develop SOPs, facilitator guides, handouts, and other learning aids for training team and internal subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate translation of course materials.
  • Deliver HR Welcome training and other training sessions as requested.
  • Continually raise the development bar by identifying, experimenting, and implementing new and innovative learning experience design approaches, tools, and systems.
  • Additional training and development responsibilities as requested.

Desired Qualifications

As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:

University degree preferred with 2+ years of training and development experience

Skills preferred for this position:

  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and creating effective instructional materials
  • Ability to analyze and select the most appropriate, methodologies, and technologies to maximize the learning experience and impact
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving and logic skills
  • Demonstrated planning and analysis skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Special Physical Requirements:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Strong people skills

  • Self‑motivate

  • Ability to utilize a PC
