The major function of this position is:

To create a compelling and meaningful customer experience for all visitors to Maui Jim Sunglasses by sharing our story, history and core values of quality, craftsmanship, and adventure while promoting and selling the brand.

The principle responsibilities and duties of this position are:

• Welcome and greet all customers and vendors warmly and professionally.

• Assist customers in style selection and purchasing of Maui Jim Sunglasses via our Personal Shopper experience.

• Have a full understanding of the entire Maui Jim Sun, Optical and Zeal product lines.

• Provide product knowledge and information relating to technology, lenses, materials, use, fit and prescription capabilities.

• Merchandise and maintain the appearance of the retail store to contribute to a positive customer experience.

• Open, close and manage all retail operations including processing sales, processing returns, and cash handling.

• Perform tasks on SAP System – CRM and ECC – Orders, Inventory, Replenishment Stock, End of Day Report, etc.

• Maintain retail security and protect Maui Jim assets by following loss prevention procedures.

• Maintain daily inventory control and replenishment of retail stock.

• Assist customer for Rx fitting by handling PD measurements and Seg Height measurements.

• Train other retail associate personnel on all aspects of retail responsibilities for back-up and busy season needs.

Other Duties:

• Inventory, organize and clean Optical Lobby daily.

• Assist with all aspects of Walk in Repairs.

• Perform all other work-related duties as requested or required.

• Assist with marketing projects and work as a team player to meet goals of the team.

• Assist Sponsorship and Events with charity projects – i.e., Maka Maka, Children’s Home Golf Outing, etc. while working retail.

• Serve as a backup for any projects/order entry for the Sponsorship and Events Department.

• Project a professional image for our customers.

Desired Qualifications

As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:

• High school graduate with at least 2 years of college. A minimum of 3-4 years customer service experience.
