The major function of this position is:
To be an integral part of daily production, provide support to supervisor; provide training and guidance of team. Process mail, ship parcels and support mailing activities. Be a role model of Aloha attitude and performance. Work closely with co- lead in support of team goals.
Coordinate and assign daily job responsibilities for all mailroom activities.
Provide both external and internal customers with 100% satisfaction on all orders shipped
Process domestic and international outbound parcels utilizing a variety of shipping software and methods with a thorough comprehension of international Customs requirements and compliance.
Retrieve and/or process all inbound small parcel shipments from a variety of carriers utilizing our sorting methodology.
Access vendor routing portals to route shipments and schedule pick dates.
Pick up and deliver all letter mail.
Process all outbound mail utilizing our postage application systems.
Guide and offer advice on solutions for shipping/mailing problems
Perform parcel tracing.
Ensure the department goals are met. Communicate with Supervisor daily workflow or issues
Provide team support and leadership by being the first line of contact for employee concerns and feedback.
Maintain presence in production at least 6.0 hours of the day.
Meet all production standards.
Train and cross train any new and existing employees to ensure all department standards are met. Ensure all training/compliance SOP materials are maintained and readily available for team
Provide input on process improvement ideas.
Provide management updates as requested. Assist with day-to-day communications with other departments. Be seen as one of the “go-to” people for the team
Assist Supervisors as needed to maintain employee logs. Ensure team members are meeting the company and departmental expectations by providing them with regular feedback in the form of individual production reports.
Assist Supervisor to develop a fair and effective rotation schedule for the team, that puts you in production.
Assist logistics team in troubleshooting import and export delays and clearance matters.
Have open communication with international DC contacts for scheduling shipments.
Assist with reporting duties as requested
Ensure you are meeting the expectation of a Lead as described in our Handbook
Perform other work-related duties as requested and required.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM
High school graduate. 3-4 years ‘experience with mailroom/shipping activities.
Training and leadership experience is preferred.
