Job Type: Full-Time 2nd shift (2 pm-1030pm)
Compensation: $20-$26/hour DOE + Shift differential
Schedule: Monday- Friday, OT if offered
Overview of role:
The Facility Maintenance Technician I supports building systems and equipment maintenance and operation, focusing on routine inspections and preventive maintenance. In this entry-level role, the technician assists with minor repairs, troubleshooting, and general facility upkeep. They work under the supervision of more senior technicians and follow safety protocols to ensure the facility remains operational and well-maintained. This is a crane technician position- being able to work on a crane. Not a crane operator, need to be mechanically inclined.

- Basic Technical Knowledge: Understanding HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Problem-solving: Ability to assist with diagnosing and resolving simple maintenance issues.

- Time Management: Managing tasks efficiently and completing maintenance work on schedule.

Key Deliverables:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine inspections on facility systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting and addressing minor maintenance issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, including repairs and inspections.
- Support inventory management of maintenance tools and supplies.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure compliance with facility standards during maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with senior technicians on facility improvement projects and system upgrades.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Ability to assist with repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related fields are a plus.
- Previous experience in facility maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with safety standards and building codes.
Technology Requirements:
- Basic proficiency with computer systems for maintenance logging and reporting.
- Familiarity with facility management software (e.g., CMMS) is a plus, but not required.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders or working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, if necessary.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Willingness to participate in training and development to grow skills in facility maintenance.
