Position: Facilities Maintenance Senior Lead – HVAC Certified
Shift: 3rd Shift (8 hours)
Compensation: $25–$29 per hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Facilities Maintenance Senior Lead – HVAC Certified to oversee third-shift maintenance operations within our facility. This leadership role combines hands-on technical expertise with team supervision to ensure the proper functioning of building systems and infrastructure during overnight operations.

The Senior Lead will supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction, support, and troubleshooting assistance to address facility needs in real time. Responsibilities include executing and monitoring preventive maintenance activities, responding to urgent repair needs, ensuring equipment and system reliability, and upholding safety standards throughout the shift.

This position requires a valid HVAC certification, strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and general building systems, and proven leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to balance hands-on repair work with shift coordination and effective team communication.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).

· At least 5-7 years of experience in facility maintenance, with a proven track record of leadership and supervisory experience.

· Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

· Demonstrated experience managing complex maintenance projects, including budget management and scheduling.

· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate technicians.

· In-depth understanding of safety standards, building codes, and regulatory compliance.

· Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple systems.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Desired Qualifications:

· Technical certifications (e.g., EPA, CFC, Journeyman, or other relevant certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems).

· Experience with facility management software (e.g., CMMS) for maintenance tracking and work order management.

· Previous experience managing a team in a large facility or multiple locations.

· Knowledge of energy efficiency best practices and sustainable building operations.

Technology Requirements:

· Proficiency with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) for work orders, reporting, and scheduling.

· Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and advanced facility management equipment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other related software for reporting and documentation.

Other Requirements:

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks, such as climbing ladders or working in confined spaces.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

· Valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel between multiple facility locations as required.

· Strong commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.

· Willingness to continue professional development and stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
