As a Senior Industrial Automation Controls Engineer at MMS, you will be part of an engineering team involved in diverse projects, including machine design and build, repair, rebuild, and retrofits of existing production assets. This role does not involve supervision and may require travel for projects.

When traveling for this role, you will be eligible for the following benefits:

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Controls Engineering or a related field. Industrial maintenance/manufacturing experience is a plus.

- Education: A four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or a two-year degree with extensive experience in Control Systems is preferred.

- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in using hand tools, advanced analysis and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with PLC Programming, Visual Display Layout, 2D CAD drawing, Ethernet networks, Industrial Communication Protocols, Motion Controls, and knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.

- Characteristics: Excellent communication skills, customer focus, ability to work independently, and meet deadlines.

- Other requirements: Valid state driver’s license, vehicle insurance, dependable vehicle, and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Requirements

In this role, your responsibilities will include executing projects through their entire life cycle, such as:

- Identifying potential sales opportunities and meeting project requirements with customers.

- Designing complete industrial electrical automation control systems and tracking project costs and timelines during execution.

- Coordinating with internal departments and managing sub-contractors as needed.

- Attending trade shows, in-house training, and webinars for continual education.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

The job requires regular standing, walking, and the use of hands/fingers. It may involve occasional sitting, lifting, and exposure to hazardous materials. Work is typically performed in a loud factory environment.
