Zillow's Agent Sales organization empowers real estate professionals with the solutions and technology they need to succeed. The GTM Strategy & Operation team acts as our internal strategy house, architecting business models that deliver value to agents while building sustainable revenue for Zillow.We're seeking a dynamic Senior Strategy Business Partner reports to the Director of Sales Strategy to serve as a trusted advisor to Sales and Customer Success leadership. You'll play a critical role in driving performance optimization, operational excellence, and strategic execution across our Agent solutions portfolio.
About the role
As a Senior Strategy Business Partner, you'll be the strategic right-hand to segment and channel leaders, helping them exceed performance targets through data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, and operational support. You'll lead critical business rhythms, develop sales plays, drive operational improvements, and serve as a key liaison between CSM leadership and cross-functional partners.
This role requires a consulting mindset combined with strong operational expertise. You'll need to structure ambiguous problems, translate complex data into actionable insights, and influence senior leaders through compelling analysis and strategic recommendations.
What You'll Do
Serve as Strategic Business Partner: Act as trusted advisor to CSM segment/channel leaders, providing insights, recommendations, and operational support to help them exceed performance targets
Lead Weekly Business Reviews: Own WBR cadence for your aligned segments, driving pipeline management, performance tracking, and forecasting accuracy. Identify gaps, surface opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
Develop and Execute CSM Plays: Partner with Sales and CSM leadership to design and implement CSM plays that drive product adoption, retention, and revenue growth
Drive Operational Improvements: Identify process inefficiencies, workflow bottlenecks, and productivity barriers. Design solutions and lead cross-functional implementation of operational enhancements that improve sales effectiveness
Enable Data-Driven Decision Making: Build performance insights conduct deep-dive analyses, and deliver strategic insights on CSM metrics, activation, usage, productivity benchmarks, and leading indicators
Support Strategic Planning: Provide analytical input and scenario modeling for territory design, headcount planning, and resource allocation decisions
Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with GTM Strategy, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Product, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives and seamless execution
Facilitate Performance Management: Analyze performance trends, diagnose root causes of gaps, and develop data-backed recommendations to improve CSM productivity and product adoption
Who you are
The Strategic Consultant: Background in Management Consulting or proven ability to bring a consulting approach to CSM Operations roles. You structure problems, develop frameworks, and deliver executive-ready recommendations
The Trusted Advisor: Strong executive presence with ability to build credible relationships with senior CSM leaders and influence without authority
Analytically Rigorous: Expert analytical skills with ability to work with complex datasets, identify trends and root causes, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
Exceptional Communicator: Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities with consulting-caliber presentation skills. Proven ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives for executive audiences
Strategic Problem-Solver: Intellectually curious with demonstrated ability to tackle ambiguous challenges, identify opportunities, and implement effective solutions using a hypothesis-driven approach
Operationally Excellent: Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that deliver measurable business impact
Highly Collaborative: Ability to work effectively across functions, build strong relationships, and drive alignment in matrixed environments
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience: 8+ years of experience in Management Consulting, CSM Operations, Revenue Operations, or GTM Strategy within Enterprise Software or Technology. Consulting background strongly preferred (strategy consulting experience at top-tier firms is a plus)
Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling and SQL for deep-dive analysis; strong experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and sales analytics platforms
Executive Communication: Proven ability to deliver clear, compelling presentations to senior leaders, facilitate productive business discussions, and influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights
