Competencies:
• Good Verbal/written communication skills and customer communication skills.
• Must have AutoCAD, Altium Designer skill set (including VIEW creation, options and Variants) or any other CAD tool.
• Knowledge on electrical/electronic component selection
• Understanding of end-to-end parameters of electrical/electromechanical components such as Switch gear items like MCB, MCCB, contactors, fuses, relays, switches, SSR, RF Generators, Sensors, Filters etc.
• Knowledge on cable and harness design
• Knowledge on Wiring diagram and Block Diagram design
• Knowledge on Industrial standards (UL508A, SEMIS22, NFPA, IPC-A-620 and so on)
• Knowledge of component End of life management & Compliance certification
• Experience in design configurable modules, Design circuits, Design & maintain control boards
• Test & validate modules.
• Knowledge in Engineering change management
• Basic Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Pro-E or Solid works)
• Knowledge of PLM system
Key Responsibilities:
• Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision
• Creating Cable design drawings and wiring diagrams
• Bill of Material creation and manufacturer identification
• Electrical component selection based on application
• Perform basic engineering analysis under general supervision
• Perform and generate basic engineering test reports under general supervision
• Coordinate the procurement and assembly of electrical/electronic components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with mechanical team to validate the electrical concepts w.r.t. mechanical design
• Troubleshoot a variety of moderately complex electrical problems
• Implement concepts for product issues and electrical solutions of moderate difficulty
• Assist in development of electrical product specifications
• Component engineering activities
• Life cycle management and compliance certification
• Creating design records and rework procedure document
