The Position: We are looking for a Manager of Steel Mill Maintenance to direct the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Departments for Steelmaking.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Steelmaking Maintenance Departments which includes a 115 MVA 225 ton EAF, ladle met furnace, six strand continuous billet caster, and associated equipment.
    • Responsible for the management of salaried and hourly employees in these departments.
  • Responsibilities include the safety, quality, and productivity for the maintenance personnel on a daily basis.
  • Supervise and direct the electrical and mechanical supervisors, reduce maintenance downtime, utilize maintenance practices including predictive and preventative maintenance, thermography, oil analysis, and vibration analysis.
  • Maintain records, schedules and financial reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree (B.S./B.A.) from four-year college or university (preference is a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree) and two years related experience and/or training. Will consider five (5) years related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with positive attitude.
  • Must be able to prioritize and be extremely detail oriented.
  • Must be capable of supervising employees according to union rules and regulations.

PAY RANGE: $85,800 - $107,300

17% DISCRETIONARY TARGET BONUS
