INTEGRIS Automation is looking to add a SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER/DESIGNER to its Automation Group with a passion for new development, problem solving, and exceeding expectations. Opportunities exist in our internal project teams and external service groups working across a wide range of industries. This position would be based in the Greater Peoria, IL area. The candidate can expect to work in a high-velocity and dynamic environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. Candidate is expected to work well in a team by contributing through their work product, supporting other team members, and accepting support all under the premise that “you’re not in it alone.” Cultural expectations consist of integrity, honesty, consistency, and above average communication skills. A qualified candidate does not have to meet all the experiences listed here, an aptitude to learn is the number one qualification. Please note that this position is to build machines and is not for a general assembler or laborer. CORE QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum of BS in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Agricultural, etc.) is required, master’s degree in engineering is a plus; Strong basic Mechanical Engineering skills; Proficient with a modeling tool (SolidWorks preferred), Creo, or Autodesk Tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.); Ability to think conceptually; Top-Down design techniques in CAD; Strong mechanical aptitude, creativity, project management, communication, analytical skills; Mechanical, structural, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience a plus; Previous engineering experience in heavy equipment, automotive, power generation, or aerospace industries a plus; Familiar with castings/forgings and weldments a plus. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Participate in the new product development process; Design new solutions for customer projects; Modify and improve upon existing designs; Create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks; Participate in brainstorming and concepting sessions; Work independently and as part of the Automation or Loadout Solutions team. TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY - Design Tools (SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD, etc.); MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
