This is a 40 hour per week position.
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.
This position may require traveling to all of our locations.

Responsibilities:
The Optical Clerical Support Staff is responsible for managing all clerical duties related to the Optical Department. This includes answering phones, processing contact lens orders, verifying insurance and vision plans, handling patient inquiries, reconciling vendor statements, and supporting the optical team with dispensary and patient care duties as needed.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills
- Healthcare knowledge preferred

- Proficiency in computer programs (Compulink, Outlook, Word, insurance portals)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Ability to problem-solve and think quickly
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Accuracy and speed in task completion using sound judgment
- Working knowledge of optical and contact lens terminology
- Ability to read and interpret optical records and patient charts
- Basic office and clerical skills
- Ability to follow directions and multitask in a fast-paced environment
