This is a 40 hour per week position. EOE
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for facilitating effective and timely communication between members of the interdisciplinary ophthalmology team. Functions autonomously and within a team framework to assist in coordination of patient care services across the continuum of care. Fields and routes consultation calls for the physicians, maintains no show processes and contacts patients accordingly, attends to triage calls, serves as a resource to patient care issues including prescription management. Assists the Manager of Surgical Services with quality assurance activities and achieving a high level of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Education & Experience:
- Current Illinois RN license required.
- Two (2) years of experience in ophthalmology, surgery, or medical office RN preferred.
- Current CPR certification.

- Knowledgeable of ophthalmic conditions and treatment

- Strong computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel and other database software systems.
