Job Description:

Summary

The Print Shop Associate supports faculty, staff, and departments across campus by producing high-quality printed materials and providing document services as part of the Marketing & Communications team. This part-time position combines hands-on print production, technical document support, and customer service in a collaborative campus environment.

Compensation for the PT Associate- Print Shop is $18.79 - $21.61 an hour.

Essential Functions

  • Produce and finish printed materials such as exams, booklets, bookstore packets, signage, business cards, bound documents, and other campus materials.
  • Prepare, combine, format, and optimize PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat to ensure files are print-ready and accurate.
  • Operate copiers, printers, and bindery equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain quality standards for accuracy, formatting, and production timelines as established by the Print Shop Coordinator or Director of Marketing.
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service to faculty and staff regarding print requests, timelines, and specifications.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential materials with discretion.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Assist with print shop software platform functions, including user support and print order setup.
  • Monitor inventory levels of paper, toner, and other supplies and notify appropriate personnel when reordering is needed.
  • Deliver completed materials across campus, which requires walking and maneuvering a cart.
  • Maintain professional conduct, provide responsive service, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and campus stakeholders.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Print shop, copy center, or production experience.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Associate’s degree or related coursework.
