Job Description:

Summary

The Admissions Representative is primarily responsible for serving as a college liaison with area schools, businesses, and community groups for general college enrollment. This position supports learning by recruiting a diverse student population of first-time enrolled and some re-enrolling students to Illinois Central College programs of study. The Representative also guides prospective students throughout the admission funnel.

Compensation for the Admissions Representative is $45,240.00 - $52,041.60 annually. This position is required to travel to the Peoria campus once a week for work.

Essential Functions

  • Assist students through admissions by providing guidance and information about all college academic programs, financial assistance, testing, advisement, and other pre-enrollment activities.

  • Oversee a territory, with the primary responsibility of analyzing the current and historical admissions results and trends within the geographic area. Develop and implement effective strategies to surpass enrollment goals.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective students responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with guidance counselors at high schools and attend scheduled school visits to promote educational opportunities at Illinois Central College.

  • Represent Illinois Central College at high schools, college fairs, businesses, and agencies. Also, campus tours should be provided to special groups at both campuses.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with the ICC community for student recruitment and develop interactive relationships with schools, community leaders, and business contacts.

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of prospective student interactions, applications, and admissions decisions.

  • Utilize CRM system and other tools to track applicant progress and generate reports as needed.

  • Develop and implement a territory recruitment plan for students with short and long-term objectives.

  • Responsible for territory management, including designing and preparing weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly territory reports for recruitment activities in high schools, community groups, and other geographical indicators.

  • Participate in recruitment events, including, but not limited to, college fairs, visit days, senior registration days, and other specialty admissions events.

  • Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below represent the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • One year of Higher Education, Student Affairs, or Marketing.

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Student Information Systems, or CRM technologies.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of Higher Education, Student Affairs, or Admissions experience. Demonstrated public speaking and presentation experience.
