Summary
Illinois Central College is seeking a qualified individual to provide instruction in the Business Department. Courses to teach may include Introduction to Business, Business Mathematics, Management, and/or other business-related courses.

Essential Functions

Instruct and coordinate courses including lecture, online and/or lab-based classes ensuring all necessary materials and tools are readily available and that safety standards are met, when appropriate.
Instruct and coordinate course at Pekin Federal Correctional Institute. Must be able to pass the background check process for the Federal Correctional Institute.
Follow syllabi for assigned courses communicating the expectations and schedule for the classwork.
Maintain office hours and availability.
Communicate with students working to ensure student success.
Seeks professional development to remain current with discipline, emerging technology, and the latest teaching tools. Maintains professional skills through regular professional development, and other activities appropriate to higher education faculty.
Works collaboratively with full-time and adjunct faculty members.
Maintains highest possible standards of classroom instruction.
Collaborate with Faculty and Staff to continuously improve and adapt the student experience to meet the needs of the student, community and institution.
Actively participates in the department, serves on college committees, and participates in institutional meetings.
Performs assigned duties during the day, evening and/or weekend on any assigned campus, including teaching courses in different modalities.
Exhibits strong time management skills to ensure timely communication, grading, and completion of other job responsibilities.
Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Master's degree in Business Area or a Master's degree in another area with a Bachelor's degree in Business and 18 hours of graduate credit in business.
Preferred Qualifications
Community college and/or secondary teaching experience.
Management experience.
Experience working in higher education.
Experience serving the needs of a diverse population of students.
