Summary
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional to support dynamic event planning and essential administrative operations in a fast-paced environment. This role involves coordinating and executing campus events while managing daily office tasks. Flexibility is key, as the position may occasionally require evening or weekend hours to support scheduled events.
Compensation for the PT Events Assistant- Marketing is $ 16.24 - $18.67 an hour.

Essential Functions

Support the Manager of Marketing and Special Events in planning and executing a variety of campus events.
Coordinate event logistics, including room scheduling, setup arrangements, and submitting work orders.
Compose and edit professional correspondence, reports, and event-related documentation.
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate room reservations.
Monitor inventory and procure office and event supplies as needed.
Handle incoming telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
Perform general clerical duties such as copying, scanning, filing, and data entry.
Assist with additional administrative tasks assigned to support departmental operations.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with the ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, and calendars.
Demonstrated excellence in customer service, including greeting visitors, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and task execution.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree from an accredited institution; a focus in business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating special events, including logistics, communication, and on-site support
