Job Summary:

The Dispatcher will enter data and interact with customers and techs while performing other related duties. This role will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and dispatching drivers, work crews, and vehicles to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs
  • Relaying information such asworkorders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, supervisors, or customers
  • Using telephones, chat, or text messages to contact employees or customers.
  • Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, and requests for services or equipment.
  • Preparing daily work such as schedules
  • Overseeing communications within company-assigned territories
  • Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records, and other information.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some data entry experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of usage and directions in maps.
  • Great at searching for information and filling in the blanks.
  • Problem resolution with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excel, Word, Access, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
