Identifying and delivering new avenues of growth is a critical company priority. The Consumer Strategy team is an entrepreneurial, multi-functional team within Humana’s Medicare and Medicaid business unit. The team is focused on driving industry leading membership growth, retention, and health outcomes by identifying new consumer insights, developing growth strategies, and activating them across the enterprise to serve the unique needs of prioritized segments.Key responsibilities include:
Owning overall customer segment strategy spanning product, marketing, sales, experience and clinical
Setting measurable OKRs for the customer segment team and supporting cross-functional partners to optimize retention and consumer health outcomes
Shaping high quality analyses and deliverables that clearly frame objectives, issues/challenges, and articulate compelling, insightful findings, conclusions, and recommendations
Diving deep on Humana and competitor Medicare Advantage product designs and making recommendations for enhancing/degrading benefits to optimize the value proposition to consumers
Developing hypothesis to be validated or refined through targeted research and analysis, overseeing industry, competitor, and financial analyses to support segment strategies
Conducting interviews, working sessions, and report-outs with leaders across the company and preparing executive presentations
Working collaboratively with fellow team members and leaders across the company
Effectively leading and developing junior members of the team

Required Qualifications
6-8 years of full-time work experience, 3-5 years post-MBA
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives
Highly collaborative, flexible, team-oriented working style
Ability to quickly build and maintain trust with key business leaders/partners
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis
Data-driven mindset; quickly assimilates new information and grasps new concepts; strong financial acumen and ability to synthesize and communicate insights and business performance
Experience developing executive level presentations, building compelling stories to influence change
Ability to think big and bridge the strategic vision with the tactical delivery and drive consensus
Exceptional project management and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, MPH, PhD, or graduate degree in a management field, with outstanding academic credentials
Prior healthcare industry experience, preferably in the managed care or provider sectors with a solid understanding of Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid
Work experience with a top tier strategy consulting firm
Additional Information
The Consumer Strategy Principal can be a remote position. Ideally candidates would reside near a Humana office with other team members, including Boston, MA, New York, NY, Chicago, IL or Louisville, KY.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours
40Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
