Perform medical record content analysis to ensure compliance with requirements of the TRICARE contract. Prepare, Scan and stage for final distribution of all medical records received into the Medical Record Review Department. Complete payment voucher and send to finance for processing; maintain file by hospital and copy service.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Analyze content of medical records to ensure compliance with TRICARE contractual requirements for timeliness and documentation.
Request medical records, enter information into database, and send follow-up letter to facility if records not received. Open, date stamp mail and distribute medical records appropriately through the department according to government contract requirement or appropriate requestor including to the TRICARE Quality Monitoring Committee (TQMC).
Placing out going calls to obtain medical records from providers. Informs appropriate team members of issues as they arise in this process.
Re-faxing of records request letters and missing documentation notices to providers/facilities.

Required Qualifications
Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. Citizenship
Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Services)
HGB is not authorized to do work in Puerto Rico per our government contract. We are not able to hire candidates that are currently living in Puerto Rico.
Minimum of 1 year of medical record analysis experience
Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs. boxes (will be working with boxes of mail when in the office)
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Familiarity with standards of practice for medical record documentation
Must live within 50 mile commute of Louisville, KY office, as position will require coming into the office on a rotational basis (every 6 - 8 weeks, will come into the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). The rest of the time will be working from home.
Work at Home Requirements
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
