The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer – Medicaid will serve as a strategic data expert responsible for designing and developing advanced business intelligence dashboards using modern BI tools to support Medicaid clinical reporting and analytics. This role operates with minimal direction, making decisions on moderately complex to complex technical components and exercising significant autonomy in defining objectives and approaches. The engineer will collect, integrate, and analyze raw data to produce actionable insights that begin to shape departmental strategy. A key part of the role involves consulting with Medicaid market business partners to understand their evolving data needs and trends, ensuring that analytical solutions are aligned with business goals and drive meaningful impact across care management and DSNP initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
- Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with tools such as Tableau and Power BI for creating data visualizations
- Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Advanced in SQL, SAS
- Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
- Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
