The Medicaid Data and Reporting Analyst integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. This role will support our Medicaid Clinical operations in multiple markets. This role manages recurring reporting, state reporting, and ad-hoc reporting needs. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

The Data and Reporting Professional 2 plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and strategic decision-making processes within our organization. This position is essential for supporting business-critical operational and state reporting needs, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all reporting activities.

Key responsibilities include:

Operational Reporting:
The incumbent will be responsible for generating, analyzing, and disseminating essential reports that are integral to our daily operations, ensuring stakeholders have access to timely and accurate data.

State Reporting: This role supports compliance with state mandates by preparing and submitting reports that meet regulatory requirements, thereby safeguarding our organization's standing within the Medicaid markets.

Complex Ad-Hoc Requests: The Data and Reporting Professional 2 will address complex ad-hoc reporting requests, requiring advanced analytical skills and the ability to synthesize large volumes of clinical data into actionable insights.

Large-Scale Reporting Projects: In addition to routine reporting, this role will lead larger scope projects related to clinical data needs across all Medicaid markets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that reporting initiatives align with organizational goals.

We are seeking to strengthen our data reporting capabilities, improve operational transparency, and enhance our response to the evolving needs of our Medicaid markets. This role is crucial for driving data-informed decision-making and ensuring the successful delivery of healthcare services to our members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 3 or more years’ experience in data reporting.

  • Proficiency using SQL, creating and modifying queries and code.

  • Experience creating comprehensive dashboards using PowerBI, QlikView, Tableau, or similar.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree

  • Experience in creating automated reports and self-service tools.

  • In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, and graphs

  • Experience in managed care or health care sector

  • Prior experience working in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$60,800 - $82,900 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
