The Strategy Advancement Professional provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Strategy Advancement Professional work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Strategy Advancement Professional leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Meeting Support: Schedule, coordinate, and occasionally facilitate meetings with operational teams and staff. Prepare agenda and materials, document outcomes, and drive follow-up on strategic action items. Serve as the point of contact for meeting related inquiries or changes.
Develop Executive-Ready Presentations: Build clear, compelling presentations and reports to support strategic meetings and communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
Conduct Research and Data Analysis: Perform in-depth research on industry trends, operational best practices, and emerging issues. Analyze internal and external data to identify opportunities for improvement and support strategic planning.
Monitor and Report Operational Metrics: Track and synthesize key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Medicaid operations. Identify areas of concern or opportunity and recommend data-driven solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with internal partners across departments to gather insights, share findings, and align efforts with organizational objectives.
Support Compliance and Risk Management: Contribute to compliance monitoring activities by researching potential risks and developing recommendations for mitigation.
Contribute to Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and refinement of department and organizational strategies by providing research, analytical support, and operational insights.
Maintain Meeting and Project Documentation: Ensure accurate and organized records of agendas, decisions, action items, and progress updates to support transparency and accountability.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience working with health plans, Medicaid operations, or in a healthcare strategy or analytics role
Experience supporting senior leaders and cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze complex data sets, and synthesize findings to inform strategic decision-making
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information and facilitate discussions
Proficiency in developing presentations and reports for diverse audiences, including use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Strong organizational, time management, and project tracking skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
Ability to facilitate meetings with staff and effectively capture and communicate action items and outcomes
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, OneNote)
Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (i.e., Zoom, Teams)
Familiarity with virtual whiteboards, project management and task tracking tools

Work at Home Criteria
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

40Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
