Humana is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Product Owner to join the IT AEP (Annual Enrollment Period) Readiness program leadership. This is a highly visible role responsible for ensuring the resiliency and capacity of Humana’s IT systems during peak business seasons. The ideal candidate will collaborate across business and technical teams to drive data-informed decisions, develop executive-level reporting, and ensure seamless performance of critical systems during high-demand periods.The Senior Product Owner plays a critical role in Humana’s IT AEP (Annual Enrollment Period) Readiness program, a high-visibility initiative focused on ensuring the resiliency and capacity of key systems during peak business seasons. This role maximizes the value delivered by Agile teams by defining and prioritizing work that aligns with business goals and technical readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cross-Functional Partner with IT, Workforce Management, Telecom, BPO, Infrastructure, Vendor Management, and Application teams to gather and analyze call, chat, and FTE projections.
- Work closely with actuaries across business lines to forecast membership growth and its impact on IT systems.
Capacity Planning & Performance Readiness:
- Translate business projections into actionable insights for IT capacity and performance testing.
- Identify and investigate anomalies or spikes in data, providing business context and resolution strategies.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Lead year-over-year trend analysis and reporting of call volumes, membership growth, and system performance.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards using tools like Power BI to support executive decision-making.
Program & Project Management:
- Drive the development of dashboards and tools to track readiness, risks, and progress across workstreams.
- Provide both executive-level summaries and tactical drill-down views to support program transparency.
- Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Design and lead future initiatives to improve data quality, real-time reporting, and metric visibility.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Program Manager, or similar role in a complex IT or business environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to consolidate data from diverse sources and derive actionable insights.
- Expertise in Power BI or similar tools for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially for executive audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of technical and project manager and product manager experience
- Ability to develop deep understanding of business-critical systems and seasonal demand cycles.
- Familiarity with software development, databases, infrastructure, and telecom technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., SAFe, Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Background in capacity planning, performance testing, or IT operations.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
