We are seeking a highly skilled Program Investment and Strategy Principal to oversee the portfolio for our Medicaid segment. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and execution of the portfolio strategy. Your advanced financial acumen will be essential in driving impactful decisions and outcomes. As a dedicated professional, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the healthcare landscape.The Program Investment and Strategy Principal ensures rigorous financial modeling to enable proper investment of MCD funds to drive differentiated and scaled business value. Once value is released and products are launched, the Program Investment and Strategy Principal monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes and greater value maximization. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities include:
Portfolio Planning & Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of the Medicaid portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and growth priorities.
- Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and sequence strategic initiatives, balancing risk, cost, and value.
- Drive portfolio planning processes, ensuring a structured approach to intake, evaluation, and approval of initiatives.
Governance & Oversight
- Establish and maintain portfolio governance frameworks, ensuring transparency, accountability, and decision-making discipline.
- Monitor portfolio performance, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Define and enforce standardized processes, tools, and metrics for consistent execution and measurement of initiatives.
Financial & Budget Management
- Oversee the portfolio budget, ensuring responsible allocation and management of financial resources.
- Drive financial tracking and forecasting, ensuring investments align with expected outcomes and ROI targets.
- Identify opportunities to optimize spend and improve cost efficiency across the portfolio.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration and/or related field
- 5 or more years of professional experience working within managed care
- 3 or more years of technical experience
- Reside in the Eastern Time Zone
- Experience taking complex data and making it more accessible, understandable and usable for leaders to derive insights
- Flexible, dynamic personality who works well in a team environment and can lead initiatives
- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
- Experienced in strong relationship building and influencing
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives in matrixed environment
- Self-Starter with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration
- Operations Experience

- Workstyle: Hybrid Home - This is a hybrid home position where employees primarily work from their home office, occasionally using company office space for collaboration and face-to-face needs.
- Location: Work from home in the Eastern Time Zone
- Typical Work Days/Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST.
- Travel: 10-20%
