Humana’s Department of Health Equity and Social Impact (HESI) is seeking driven, innovative, and collaborative individuals who are committed to creating sustained system change to serve in the role of Health Equity Senior Professional on the Enterprise, Solutions, and Transformation (EST) team. The Health Equity Senior Professional will identify and address business issues and opportunities, provide strategic planning support, and lead projects with internal and external partners to drive integration across care dimensions that increase associate capacity and help improve health outcomes in our member population.Humana’s HESI team is seeking to hire a Health Equity Senior Professional to lead end-to-end program design and implementation for health equity initiatives.
The Health Equity Senior Professional will leverage insights to identify health equity related business needs for new quality improvement/innovation pilots and programs. They will facilitate and develop health equity tools, trainings, and solutions that help reduce member barriers in achieving their best health.
Additional day-to-day responsibilities of the Health Equity Senior Professional include:
- Identification of potential health equity gaps to address through quality improvement or capacity building initiatives
- Exploration of solutions for identified health equity gaps to address customer/enterprise problem
- Design proposed health equity/health literacy pilots with internal enterprise stakeholders to meet business need
- Management of assigned initiatives including but not limited to vendor/partner request for proposals, vendor selection, contracting, scope of work development, pilot testing, and deliverables submission
- Provision of comprehensive documentation of initiative related decisions, action steps, recommendations, and results
- Tracking outcomes, best practices, and lessons learned from test and learns in relation to defined health equity metrics and business objectives
- Identification of enterprise resource and training needs through stakeholder engagement
- Build resource and training content with identified subject matter experts and/or internal stakeholders to build associate capacity
- Collaborate with partners to ensure solution objectives meet learning needs and business objectives

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, business administration or other related course of study and/or 5 years’ experience managing project/programs.
- Experience cross-collaborating with executive leaders and professionals to drive systems change
- Strong critical thinking skills, flexibility and the ability to work effectively on an inter-disciplinary team
- Experience leading health literacy initiatives to improve written and spoken communication for better member understandability and actionability
- Strong verbal and written communication, including presentations
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationship acumen
- Experience leading innovation pilots using key quality improvement and clinical transformation frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in public health, business administration, public administration, or other related course of study
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Experience managing end-to-end processes for large scale high profile in-person and virtual events
- Experience in instructional design and applying adult learning theory to create interactive training curriculum/workshops and learning events (in-person and online formats)

40Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
