The Financial Planning and Analysis Professional 2 analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Planning and Analysis Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Finance Professional 2 will:
- Support IT's Close and Forecasting Processes.
- Provides financial analytics to support business decisions and develop effective strategies, with an overriding goal to create value for the company.
- Work in creating effective reporting and analyses in order to improve processes, create efficiencies and proactively provide business partners data/metrics/cost information to identify and influence areas of financial improvement.
- Participate in the month end close process including account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting actual versus budget and forecasts.
- Collaborate with business partners in developing methods and criteria for measuring/summarizing financial data and preparing valuable analysis in a dynamic environment, maintain and review various system reconciliations between source systems and financial and operational reporting processes.
- Be involved in special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships establishing working relationships with peers and management within Finance.

Required Qualification
- Bachelor's degree ideally in finance, accounting or similar field
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Proficient knowledge of and experience applying (US GAAP) accounting principles
- Experience participating in financial planning and budgeting processes
- Proficient in manipulating and analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports
- Advanced level user with Microsoft Excel (as defined by pivot tables, sort/summarize large amounts of data, v-look ups)
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or MBA
- Previous health insurance or IT industry experience working in a Finance/Accounting department
- Experience in procurement and contract review
Additional Info:
This role will by a hybrid workstyle. Must be within a commutable distance to the downtown Louisville, Ky office or 1812 N. Moore, Arlington, VA offices.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
