Senior Finance Professional
Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe Senior Finance Professional will be a key member and oversee the financial performance for the Centerwell IT team. In this role, you will lead the month end close process, manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for Centerwell IT. The Senior Finance Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Our ideal candidate works collaboratively with Humana finance leaders and enjoys cultivating business relationships while driving results and managing decisions independently.
Oversees financial performance for the Pharmacy and Clinical teams within the Centerwell IT organization and works with leadership to achieve strategic plans and objectives.
Leads the month end close process for Centerwell IT - Pharmacy and Clinical departmental general ledgers including journal entries, account analysis, reconciliations, staffing models, vendor management and AP research.
Manages the budgeting and forecasting processes including the development and maintenance of analytical tools to evaluate financial and operational effectiveness.
Provides guidance on complex accounting treatment including capitalization and depreciation.
Works collaboratively with leaders to determine the appropriate allocation of corporate overhead to internal products.
Cultivate internal business relationships including enterprise leaders which will serve as resources of technical knowledge and performance improvement.
Performs advanced modeling, analysis and reporting of financial and operational data in a dynamic environment.
Delivers financial results by measuring, summarizing and presenting financial data for leadership.
Participate in special project teams that may necessitate cross- functional partnerships.
Develops recommendations to assist with business effectiveness and efficiency; implementation plan of recommendations and ongoing monitoring of achieved results.
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues and work is performed without direction.
Use your skills to make an impact
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 5 or more years experience in finance/accounting
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, and Access, SQL, and multi-dimensional databases
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytic skills with attention to details
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Previous health insurance industry experience
- Experience with SAS or other relational databases

Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$76,800 - $105,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
