The Marketing, Regulatory and Operational Communications team is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Developer focused on providing marketing database management, business data strategy and marketing consultation to support enterprise-wide messaging campaigns.

As the Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Developer (Internal title - Senior User Interface Design Engineer), you will leverage communication output systems, business relationship management and an understanding of business needs to design, development and provide innovative solutions for communications to members, employer groups, broker/agents, and providers. You will utilize tool technologies to develop/code emails, best practices, process-oriented thinking, business knowledge and relationship building skills to implement communications for our vital business partners across the organization. Provide guidance and direction to other team members on requests and functionality. Assist in the development of process and procedural documentation.

Key Role Functions

  • Collaborate directly with internal customers to create and develop communications in Acoustic and Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Ensure quality, process adherence, best practices, and on time delivery of communications

  • Develop/code communications in the vendor solutions and participate in the delivery of project(s)

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers

  • Lead and/or deploy large projects, participate in testing

To be successful in this role, you must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Utilizing a consultative approach and technical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail are also critical to succeed in this role.

Required Qualifications

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Certification

  • 2+ years of professional experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Demonstrated ability to strategically code emails in vendor solutions that factor in business goals, development capabilities, design standards and user needs

  • Strong understanding of SFMC design principles, SFMC technical capabilities, utilization of templates and content blocks to create emails that are mobile responsive and 508 compliant

  • Experience coding of email with business, technical and design guideline constraints

  • Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to research and determine root cause of issues and provide solutions to the problem

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office XP products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Ability to be flexible in a very fluid and dynamic environment

  • Must be extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities effectively

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Experience with EMME

  • Experience with Acoustic

  • Experience with Service Now tickets

  • Experience with XML or CSV files

Additional Information/Requirements

This role is a nationwide remote role. Candidate must be able to accommodate EST time zone.

Remote Requirements

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$95,300 - $131,200 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
