Heyl Royster is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Paralegal position in our workers' compensation practice, to be based in any of the following offices*: Peoria, Champaign, Edwardsville, Rockford, or St. Louis (Missouri).
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work in a high-volume legal practice
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Exceptional analytical and reasoning skills
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation litigation in Missouri (required) and Illinois (preferred)
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A PARALEGAL:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is required
- A minimum of one (1) year civil litigation experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with electronic document management systems is required
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The base pay range is $22.00 to $28.00 an hour. The pay offered will take into account several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability and specialization, as well as business needs. The range may be modified in the future.
