Wage Range: Min: $21.20, Mid: $25.80, Max: $30.40

A Brief Overview

The Loan Review Associate performs loan reviews to assist with independently evaluating the Bank's underwriting, credit analysis, and adherence to internal loan processes, policies, and procedures. This position evaluates and assists in determining the overall quality of a loan portfolio. The Loan Review Associate will be part of the Loan Review Department of the Risk Management Division where the primary focus is on helping management protect the Bank against undue risk exposure. The Loan Review Associate reports to the department manager.

What you will do

  • Conduct loan reviews to evaluate the adequacy of the Bank's loan underwriting, credit analysis, and adherence to Bank policies and procedures.
  • Gather data for loan reviews through a variety of methods including interviews, research of laws, regulations, policies and industry standards, downloads, etc. Document relevant information to support the loan review conclusions and formal Findings.
  • Produce clear and complete written reports in accordance with established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Bank management to identify practical corrective actions to address formal Findings.
  • Identify and recommend solutions and/or new procedures to enhance current operations or strengthen controls to mitigate loss exposure.
  • Maintain sufficient independence from Bank management to clearly demonstrate objectivity in matters affecting loan review conclusions.

Other Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business or Finance and less than 1 year bank loan review preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
