A Brief Overview
The Compliance Associate performs compliance testing to assist with evaluating the Bank's compliance practices. Evaluates the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Bank's compliance related processes, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Compliance Associates will be part of the Compliance Department of the Risk Management Division where the primary focus is helping to protect the Bank against undue risk exposure.
What you will do
- Conduct compliance monitoring reviews to test the Bank's adherence to regulatory compliance regulations.
- Research laws, regulations, policies, and industry standards.
- Gather data, identify and recommend solutions, and document relevant information for compliance audits through a variety of methods including interviews, research, downloads, etc.
- Collaborate with Bank management to identify practical corrective actions to address recommendations and assist in maintaining a system to monitor the disposition of such corrective actions.
- Prepare clear and complete compliance summaries that include the results of the compliance monitoring objectives and scope as well as applicable conclusions, recommendations, and action plans.
- Provide consultations with business lines on adherence of compliance regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Business and less than 1 year banking and/or compliance preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
