Objective To enhance the presence of the Heart of Illinois United Way and manage the investment of Community Impact Funds in the community. To raise funds through the implementation of best campaign practices and coordinate efforts to establish and report outcomes that address the priority health and human care needs. This interactive position requires a high degree of self-direction and initiative to be successful.

Accountability Responsible to Vice President Resource Development and Vice President Community Investment

Responsibilities

Account/Volunteer Management

  • Manage workplace campaigns of participating accounts by developing and implementing strategies for growth and providing outstanding customer service to campaign coordinators.
  • Provide support to Division Chairs and participate in corporate calls to engage CEOs/company management and secure their participation through workplace campaigns.

Fund Distribution Continuous Improvement Process

  • Evaluate funded programs and initiatives using the Fund Distribution Continuous Improvement Process (FDCIP).
  • Provide technical assistance to service providers on outcome management and evaluation that includes identification of outcome objectives, appropriate indicators, influencing factors, data collection methods, and evaluation techniques.

Other Community Resource Support

  • Develop the focus areas and facilitate the planning and organization of engagement efforts to expand the outreach to community leaders.
  • Partner with staff and volunteers to assist with events, projects, trainings, and other initiatives designed to strengthen and improve resource development functions and community investment outcomes.
  • Continually work to ensure data accuracy for comparison and analysis.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with partner agency executive directors and program staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, business administration, education, social services administration, or related field.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task. Must possess the highest-level organization skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to tactfully handle stressful situations, negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in Google and Windows-based software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • During specific times of the year, the employee is required to visit a variety of direct service settings across the community. Additional mobility is required during this activity.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and have daily access to a reliable vehicle. Be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Position Benefits and Salary -$45,000 to $50,000 annual salary range. Exempt position.
